Payroll for pubs
Pub payroll is awkward in a way most payroll is not: shifts change weekly, staff turn over quickly, and someone has to do it on a Sunday night. It is included in The One Package rather than sold separately.
What we do
We run the payroll: the pay run itself, Real Time Information submissions to HMRC, payslips for your staff, and starters and leavers as they come and go. We are registered with HMRC as an agent, so we deal with them directly rather than sending you things to file yourself.
Why pubs are different
A weekly-paid team with variable hours, a lot of under-25s on different minimum wage bands, and turnover that would look alarming in any other sector. The work is not hard so much as relentless, and it lands at exactly the time of week you are least able to do it.
What it costs
Payroll is part of The One Package at £500 a month, alongside licensing, health and safety, marketing and a business rates review. It is not priced per payslip.

Are you registered with HMRC to do this?
Yes. We are an HMRC-registered agent for payroll, so we can deal with HMRC on your behalf.
Is payroll charged separately?
No. It is included in The One Package at £500 a month rather than billed per payslip or per employee.
Do you handle starters and leavers?
Yes, as part of the ongoing run, along with payslips and RTI submissions to HMRC.
